About this blog

I’m Sue Newhook. I teach video reporting at the University of King’s College School of Journalism in Halifax NS. This blog has posts on a few journalism- and writing-related events, but it started when I was at the Online News Association conference 2011 in Boston… there was too much interesting stuff going on for me to listen, edit and tweet! so I transcribed some of my pages and pages of notes to this blog. There’s no promise that I’ll ever get around to filing them all, but FWIW it’s a taste of #ONA11.

Some notes may read like quotes (e.g., use of the first person by the presenter), but don’t take them as verbatim unless they have quotation marks around them.

And if anyone else wants to file notes, let me know and I’ll put you in as a contributor. You need to be registered as a WordPress user and send me your email address by DM on Twitter @suenew
